We often hide our files or photos or any type of format from our siblings or friends or anyone by installing third party software from the web.In this post I am going to show you how to hide your data from others without using any software i.e., by using command prompt in PC.

Here is trick to Hide Files In JPG or Any Image File. This is my another great Windows Trick that I am going to share with you. If you wish to send some file secretly to your friend and don’t want others to peep in, just hide the file inside an image and send it to them.But how are we gonna do? This Technique of How to Hide Files In JPG or an image is known as Steganography, so lets see how it is done step by step.

Method to Hide Files In JPG or Any Image :-

Before we move further with the steps.There are something that we need inorder to perform this (How to Hide Files In JPG) trick. We will need WinRar Installed on your PC. So if you already have WinRar archiver in your PC, which most of us do have, you can proceed with below steps:

1. Create a folder with files that you would like to Hide in an Image file, Lets say the         folder name is “Files” and copy all files that you want to hide in a image. Now Right     Click on the folder and select add to archive. Select RAR as Archive format and           Click OK. Or (select Sent to > compressed (zipped) folder and if you make a zip       file, then process all steps same but replace the keyword .RAR to .ZIP).
2. You will now see a RAR file with name files, Now say you have an image with name         “image.jpg” in which we will hide these files. Copy                                                       both Files.rar and image.jpg and paste them in C or D Drive.
3. Next Open CMD, Search for CMD and open it. If you files are in “D” drive then             Type D: and press Enter. Now Type in this Code as it is copy /b                                   image.jpg+files.rar new.jpg and press Enter
4. If you have done everything right till now, then you will see something Similar like         below Picture. I had the file in E: so i initially typed E: to change the location to E           drive.
5. Now Navigate to the location where you saved the file and you will see one for file           added with name New.jpg.

So now we have a new file but what next ? If you notice you will see the size of the new file has slightly increased and if you open the new.jpg file it will show you just the picture, So you will as where the other files gone which we tried to hide inside this image ?

How to Access the files :-

1. We know that the file is in jpg format so we will first Open WinRar archiver, Click       on File and Select Open archive.
2. Now Navigate to the Path where you have saved new.jpg file which will be Drive “D“
3. Now make sure to select All Files from the drop down, so that it displays                         the new.jpg file too.
4. Select it and Click on Open, There you will see a folder with name files, Open it and       there are your Hidden files.
5. Enjoy !! 

How To Hide .Exe file Into .Jpg Format

In Windows .exe denotes any of the application that is executable in this operating system. Now in your computer you might have many such applications that you might not want to show everyone so without hiding them you have a better option that is using .jpg extension in the place of .exe extension by this no one can judge that the file is an application in your windows. So we are here with How To Hide .Exe file Into .Jpg Format. Yes you can do this with few simple steps that i have discussed below. So proceed with below steps.

Method To Hide .Exe file Into .Jpg Format

By this method you can fool anyone by sending them keylogger or any malware by converting that .exe file into hidden type .jpg format that receiver will think that it is an image file. So the trick is very cool that you can implement from below.

1. In windows firstly make sure that show hidden files and folder option being checked.
2. Now create a new folder anywhere you wish, in it paste your application, for example key.exe etc., in the folder.
3. Now click on rename option and rename it with name any name like key.jpeg , with this a warning pop up message will appear.
4. Just click on OK button there and the file will get renamed.
5. Now create a shortcut of this file in the same place the original file exist by copying         the original file and pasting the shortcut.
6. Now rename the shortcut with any other name as me.jpeg.
7. Now open the properties of shortcut file that is me.jpeg.
8. Now make start In field empty there.
9. In target field paste the address C:WINDOWSsystem32cmd.exe /c key.jpeg in place of key.jpeg you will write the address of file that is not the shortcut one.
10. By this when anyone click on the file me.jpeg the file picture.jpeg will get open as you had changed the target of the file.
11. Now change the icon of the me.jpeg with image icon by going to properties->change icon. and pasting %SystemRoot%system32SHELL32.dll there and pressing OK.
12. That's it you can now send these file by compressing them in zip and sending them         to anyone in their mails etc.
